The Travel Village
Why I want to be a 2019 Travel Weekly Cover Star
Since joining the travel industry 3 years ago I needed to learn not only about the many destinations but also about all the different products from retail, Ocean, River to Escorted Tours. Listening to my clients and finding them that perfect holiday is always my goal. Without on-going training and knowledge this would be hard to achieve therefore from day one, and every day I always strive to learn something new!
I have completed my cruise training including CCS, Cruising Power and nearly at Master status with CLIA. I also attend as many networking training events and hotel/destination events in my own time and expense after work, which I love…
Delivering exceptional service to all my clients really matters and has resulted in confirmed bookings by simply talking about my own experiences following previous “FAM” trips and training sessions. Following up with clients when they return from holiday is also just as important as confirming the sale, having this feedback is essential allows me to also share and hope secure new business. Sharing my own photos and experiences from FAM trips and personal holidays also helps, it’s visual and paints a picture as to how exciting a destination can be, and gives clients new ideas they may not have considered previously.
I would LOVE to be considered for Cover Stars. Having never visited Walt Disney World in Florida, it would be an amazing opportunity for me. In fact, it would fulfil my childhood dream.
But not only that, the trip would provide me with that all-important experience and knowledge to sell more Disney holidays. And it would be a privilege to make front-cover of the Travel Weekly!!!
